4 th national meeting, issues and challenges of sustainable development

Organized under the patronage of His Majesty the King, God Assists him, the theme of the Meeting of Urban Agencies was placed around the stakes and challenges of sustainable development and modes of territorialisation of public policies The magnitude of these challenges and the ecological, economic and social stakes which ensue from it call out actors and professionals on the process of spatial development.
These questions were perfectly in keeping with the various strategies for the development of cities and territories, increasingly focusing on an integrated and sustainable approach and on convergence of public policies.
Today, this concern, which is shared by all public and private actors, is characterized by the progressive taking into account of environmental imperatives by optimizing the use of natural and land resources, notably through strategic planning and the new Governance of projects.
Through the various expertise that will be presented at this meeting and the discussions that will be organized during the plenary sessions, relevant proposals are expected to be implemented within a framework of reference at national level.
